Weddings are great celebrations – Dot and Iain’s wedding was one awesome party. Friends and family travelled from across the globe to be with them in Edinburgh. This was a wedding of two people sharing their day with all their favourite people. The day also featured lots of Dot’s favourite things… from Iron-Bru to Ducks and a Highland Cow or two… and of course Iain.

Thank you Mr and Mrs Inverarity for letting us be part of your wedding. It was a truly fantastic day and we can’t wait to share all of your photographs with you. For now, here’s a tiny selection of our favourites – we hope they bring your big day right back to you…

Any time spent with Nikki and Stuart is lots of fun. We had a great morning catching-up with them and hearing all about the wedding plans and the plans for the curtains – Nikki we are loving your style and attention to detail!

Kirsty & Adam’s Wedding, Winton House

Right from the first email from Kirsty and Adam we just knew it was going to be an off the scale awesome wedding day, filled with fun, bags of personality and a whole lot of chillaxing. And we couldn’t have been more right. This was a top day with a top couple.

We have so many favourite memories, from the the girls bopping to Beyonce in the morning, the wonderful, informal ceremony; the most magnificent cake cutting (s!) and raucous speeches. In fact, we had to quote some of Kirsty’s father’s words here…

Kirsty and Adam – we think you guys truly rock. To say we loved your day would be an understatement. The organisation, planning, thought and detailing put into your day was sublime.

Michelle & John’s Pre-Wedding Shoot, Edinburgh

One of the great things about pre-wedding shoots is that we get to explore bits of Edinburgh that otherwise we may never visit. St Anthony’s Chapel, in Holyrood Park is a special place for Michelle and John for lots of reasons… not least as it marks (roughly!) the spot of when John asked Michelle to marry him.

Thank you guys for being lots of fun to hang out with and take pictures of. We loved hearing about your engagement story… and Niels almost got himself a job for another photography company!!!

Jen & Pete’s Wedding, The Hub, Edinburgh

In the heart of Edinburgh’s old town, nestled beneath The Castle sits The Hub. And with so many guests travelling from USA what a perfect spot to hold Jen and Pete’s wedding celebrations than right in the centre of our amazing city.

And, Jen and Pete – you rocked it! We loved all the personal touches that you planned into your day (and we love how you love cake too – you can never have enough cake!) Spot the impromptu serenading of the bridesmaids as they arrived at the Hub by some Spanish entertainers – only in Edinburgh!

Jen and Pete thank you for letting us be part of your wonderful celebrations. We loved hanging out with you guys and getting to know you over these last months – we know you’ve many exciting times ahead of you…

We recently met up with the lovely Marion and Graeme just outside Glasgow. This was a special day for Graeme as it was his birthday! Louise & Kris’ Wedding, Dundas Castle

So after a great week of stunning Scottish weather we had another fantastic day for Louise and Kris’ wedding. And what a great day it was. These two are fantastic together and such fab parents to the gorgeous little Mia who was a star on their wedding day and even managed to fall asleep on one of the sofas in the library at Dundas Castle. Loving your style Mia.

As a couple these two are perfectly matched and as a family unit they are so contented and love little Mia to bits. As Mia spent the morning with the girls, Kris had a double wow moment as his two favourite girls came down the aisle towards him.

Mr and Mrs Barclay we have really enjoyed getting to know you guys. Thank you for letting us be part of your special family wedding and your rocking celebrations afterwards.

Dot & Iain’s Pre-Wedding shoot, Carcant, nr Edinburgh

One of the great things about pre-wedding shoots is that our couples get to choose spots that are special to them. When Dot and Iain suggested Carcant we knew it would be special, but we hadn’t realised quite how special.

Nestled in the middle of a Scottish valley due south of Edinburgh is Carcant… On the outskirts of this estate is a very special 100 year-old cottage called Tathieknowe. It belongs to Dot’s family and holds such special memories of times spent here.

We loved it.

And we got to explore and take some shots of Dot and Iain. Yup we were pretty spoilt.
