Lauren & John’s Wedding, Hopetoun House, South Queensferry

Lauren and John are just the nicest, most genuine people and everyone who knows them will say the same… One of our abiding memories of their wedding day is Lauren’s incredible beaming smile as she came out of her wedding car (despite the slightly longer journey than planned!)

Their wedding day at Hopetoun House had so much of them in it. From their personal ceremony to their speeches, which were filled with so much love… there wasn’t a dry eye in the ballroom. It was so much fun seeing the ceilidh dancing as everyone (Australian included) threw themselves into it. What a great party!

Lauren and John thank you for being you and for letting us be part of your wedding. You made us feel so welcome and you are so natural together. You are the perfect team.

We loved meeting your fab family and friends… Kim, Nellie and Marika thank you for great chat in the taxi – we’d love to see you next year when we’re out in Burly…

Here’s a taster of what was a fantastic celebration.

A&N x

P.S. How cute are Lauren’s flower girls?

The team at Planet Flowers created a stunning, elegant look in the ballroom, not to mention the eucalyptus on the spiral stairway (to remind Lauren of home)

How cute are these two. Girls you were fab. Real little princesses!

We love how Heritage Portfolio make food look so pretty (and taste so good)

Alex and Molly are the kind of people who embrace life and all it throws at them. Including what we can only be described as the windiest wedding I think we’ve ever been at (think winds of 50 mph – enough to take out huge stone planters) And the result was a wedding day that was even more magical that anyone could have imagined.

Their spring wedding was beautiful in spite of the rain (think one of the wettest days ever). Actually it was a little more beautiful because of the rain. As family and friends dashed for cover under mutlicloured brollies there were smile, giggles and lot of togetherness. And what could be better than cosying up in Drumtochty Castle as the wood burners crackle?

As Joe and Elias greeted us (with bear hugs rather than hand shakes) we knew they were our kind of people. The kind of people who make life about the people around them rather than the stuff they have; the kind of people who appreciate the little things; the kind of people who value love. Yup we’d hang out with these two any day of the week.
