Mr and Mrs Chris Porter… just typing that makes us grin from ear-to-ear.
Being a part of your wedding celebrations has been a total joy from the first time we met you. We loved how you created your day and how much thought you put into it all… and how much trust you placed in us. Being a wedding photographer is an incredible privilege, but even more so, being involved intimately in two families lives is such a special thing. Thank you for letting us be a part of your day.
You had so many personal touches throughout it – from your lush wedding cake made by your friend Liggy’s Cakes through to your pals in the rocking band Kilter – the ballroom was seriously jumping…
Most of all thank you for being so ace to be with – it felt as though we were hanging out with friends from beginning to end.
We had the added bonus of having the top team of Jennifer at Hopetoun House and the boys from Cherry Tree Films on board.
We’ve struggled to create ‘highlights’ only as there were so many, but here’s a taste for now…
Megan, a friend of Christina’s, created a beautiful illustration of her dress for her. So personal and special. Check out her bridal illustrations website for more of her work.
And then Niels caught up with Chris and the boys at Hopetoun…
It was so exciting to see how all the details came together. Christina trusted Planet Flowers 110% to ‘do their thing’ and what an awesome job they did.
Emma you were a star!
The rain of the morning cleared, which gave us the chance for Christina to don her wedding wellies so we could head out towards the fountain at the back of Hopetoun.
All the details, from the wedding cake by Liggy’s through to the teacups (by friends of this fab pair who clearly are very popular!!!) worked so well alongside Planet Flowers’ styling. The ballroom at Hopetoun looked chic.
Could you plan a secret wedding in Edinburgh just a few days before Christmas? Would you be able to keep it from your friends and family? Not sure I’d be able to stop from spilling the beans…quite how Kate and Ian managed at to keep their secret Christmas wedding at The Balmoral Hotel up their sleeve I have no idea. Massive kudos to you.
Cassie and Tom’s Christmas wedding at Mansfield Traquair was a festive celebration of love, laughter and one or two surprises 😉 We knew this was going to be the most epic of weddings, but still we were both blown away by the energy of these two. This is a couple who live and love 100mph and everyone around them adores them.
Barnbougle Castle in autumn literally glows from the inside out. So it was the perfect location for Babette and Lawrie’s wonderful thanksgiving inspired wedding. This pair met 59 months ago, yet fit together so well you can’t imagine them not being a couple.
Beautiful wedding Niels and Alie – and fab flowers as always (Planet!) xx
