Barnbougle Castle

A Castle right on the Firth of Forth (with views to die for)

Barnbougle Castle, South Queensferry

The first time you discover Barnbougle Castle is a little like falling in love – you might have heard about it, but until you experience for yourself it’s hard to put into words.

A hidden gem, with its own private beach, it is the ultimate seclusion on the waterfront

Steeped in history (did you know it was once home to a former Prime Minister), it oozes old world charm alongside stunning contemporary styling.

Barnbougle Castle is the kind of place where your parties will go on long into the night and as as the sun goes down, your party spilling out of the banqueting hall onto the terrace, you’ll breathe in your magical surroundings and pinch yourself a little just to make sure you’re not dreaming.

Niels & Alie love…

The private gates (only those in the know have the code 😉)

Highland cows on every turn (take a peak at our Reels for how bold they are)

The epic estate which you’re free to roam and use as a backdrop for beautiful photographs.

The Castle itself; the spiral staircase ; the magnificent Banqueting hall with Ministrel’s Gallery, stunning Scottish Library and the large terrace right on the Forth

The loos (call us crazy but when a wedding venue pays that much attention to the quality of the toilets you know they’re going to look after you and your guests impeccably)

Magic, Sparkle and Love

19 December 2020

These two were among the few who set a wedding date for 2020 and stuck to it. Yes the plans changed slightly along the way (think plan A, plan B…) but in the end celebrating their wedding in the spectacular Barnbougle Castle with their closest family and friends was nothing short of perfect and they wouldn’t have changed a thing.
