If we asked our kids to draw a picture of a castle, most likely they’d model it on Drumtochty Castle. Drumtochty rocks our photography world. From our very first wedding of Rach and Ian all those years ago we knew that this was a special, special place.
Drumtochty is designed for wedding celebrations that put friends and family at the heart of the party. It’s an exclusive use venue like few others. They’ve adopted the term home from home and take it to another level. The philosophy at Drumtochty is simple; it’s your home away from home. Weddings at Drumtochty Castle last a whole weekend – and that means loads of time to spend with your friends and family so it just turns into the best house party ever.
Wedding breakfasts are held in a wood panelled ballroom (complete with crystal chandeliers, Highland stags and Canadian byson) with the fairytale St Palladius Church literally at the end of the driveway, oodles of bedrooms you can invite your nearest and dearest to spend the night, cracking food (and a BYOB policy to boot!) and you’ll see why this venue ticks so many of our favourite boxes.
Another part of Drumtochty’s brilliance is the team who will be there throughout the celebrations to plan and guide as you create a wedding like none other.
The beautiful Estate and woodlands just at the end of the driveway (and if you time it correctly you’ll get shafts of sunlight cutting through the trees) and the spectacular viewpoint at the Cairn o’ Mount. All on your doorstep…
We love how Drumtochty have redefined the statement home from home – it’s your castle for your wedding. End of.
The team headed up by Nikki. Oh and we also love Fluffy the Wild Mountain Goat. He just can’t but help get involved in the wedding shenanigans.
Take a peek at some of the weddings we’ve been invited to at Drumtochty Castle over the years…
When we first met Sarah and Paul and they shared their wedding vision with us we were hooked. Think epic banqueting table in a glorious Scottish castle in the middle […]
A Scottish-Norwegian wedding in a castle in a glen? It was every bit as fantastic as it sounds… Allow us to introduce you to Richard and Lill.
The thing about Lynsey and Paul is they just are a wonderful unit. They are so relaxed with each other and within minutes we felt like we’d known them for years.
From the minute we met Vicky (in a crowded bar over a G&T) we knew she was one of the good ones. You know those folks you meet and you just ‘click with’.
A magical first look, the most beautiful outdoor ceremony, a hilarious bridal party, and a whole lot of love…
Sarah and Rob’s love story would make an amazing film…
A sprinkling of winter magic, more than a little bit of glam and a whole lot of fun, pretty much sums up Claire and Lee’s epic wedding.
How much do we love winter weddings? Think mulled cider, crackers, Christmas carols, mistletoe, stunning sunsets
This was a day jam-packed with love, laughter and amazing sunshine and we had an absolute blast as wedding photographers.
Steph and Matt are in their own words the most non-conventional couple. They are also a fantastic, inspiring team.
Our instinct about Sam & Gary’s wedding was that it was going to be a blast from start to finish. Guess what? We were right.
