We will never forget the first time we drove up to Hopetoun House. It was 2004 (the year facebook was launched – yikes!) and it quite literally took our breath away.
It’s one of those approaches that is filled with anticipation and excitement and all the romance of an old movie.
Truth be told, we still have that feeling every time we take that drive. Hopetoun has grown to be one of our favourite wedding locations. It’s special in so many ways but for us what we love above all else is that no two weddings are the same. Which suits us perfectly as we are all about getting to know our couples and telling their unique story.
Hopetoun House and Blue Sky fit together beautifully. Gorgeous, grand, elegant and special – weddings at Hopetoun just ooze style.
There are so many things to love about Hopetoun House – the jaw dropping ballroom ready to welcome you and your guests for a glittering wedding breakfast, the epic estate which you’re free to roam and use as a backdrop for beautiful photographs.
The centrepiece of the estate has to be the wonderful house itself; look up in the staircase at the spectacular painted ceiling; the magnificent Red Drawing room and marble entrance hall with roaring log fire.
Take a peek at some of the weddings we’ve been invited to at Hopetoun House over the years…

The one where the farmer and the vet got together and boy are we glad they did…
Louise and Pete’s was the kind of wedding you just wouldn’t want to leave: the sun shone, the rain came, but regardless the love was abundant. Oh and did we mention the food? Probably the best beef ever!
From our first coffee with Niamh and Sam we were hooked. These two were made for each other, without a doubt.
