As Edinburgh family photographers we love capturing relationships at all ages. From the tiniest, newest baby edition to the greatest of great grandparents, your family matters. Truth be told, it matters as much to us as to you. We know beautiful pictures of your favourite people tell incredible stories that will last for generations.
Whether you’re looking for your first family photoshoot, if you’re welcoming a newborn baby to the world or if you’re treating someone special with a framed family photograph, you could have just found your perfect family photographer.
Allow us to introduce ourselves. We’re Blue Sky Photography. You and your tribe will be welcomed to our Edinburgh studio with warmth, and real heart. We’re proudly independent, family run and can be entrusted with your clan whatever form that takes.
From your first conversation, it matters to us who you are and what you’d love from your family shoot. You are (and always have been) our focus.
They are everything you would want in a family photographer - relaxed, patient and talented.

Your session with Blue Sky Photography will be a thoroughly enjoyable experience – no matter how camera shy you all are. We promise to talk (and listen) so you have all that you want from your time with us.
We realise you may have questions ahead of your shoot – to help, we’ve put together some FAQ’s here.
Our studio style is to shoot family portraits in one of three signature ways – zingy white, classy black or bright colour. The choice is yours.
Following your shoot, we’ll invite you back for your own vip viewing and design consultation. Then comes the exciting bit: deciding if you want a framed print for the wall, a cluster for the fireplace or enlargements for Granny… the options are endless.
You are welcome to pop over to the studio for a coffee and chat through your family photography ideas. It means you can see our gallery of wall art, meet us and sample one of our legendary Brew Teas (it’s always best to call ahead to make sure we’re not in a shoot on 0131 447 1100).
If joining us at the studio in Edinburgh isn’t so convenient for you, we’re just as happy to Skype, FaceTime or Zoom.
However we meet, our desire is that our first meeting is the start of a lifelong, beautiful friendship.
Drop us a line and we’ll pop the kettle on. Till then, feel free to explore the Blue Sky Photography Family FAQ’s that may answer any queries just now.
